Your Role as Assistant General Manager
Partner with the General Manager to drive operational excellence, team development, and a superior member experience. You'll own key daily functions — from membership sales and staff coaching to operational execution and performance tracking — and run the floor when the GM is out.
Key Responsibilities
Member Experience
- Deliver a welcoming, best-in-class environment and lead the club to top-tier NPS on Friendliness and Cleanliness.
- Resolve member concerns quickly and professionally; support onboarding, follow-ups, and retention.
Team Support & Development
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, and scheduling front-desk and frontline staff.
- Lead by example on the floor; coach and give ongoing performance feedback.
Sales & Revenue Performance
- Support the GM in hitting membership, personal-training, and retail goals.
- Track KPIs to spot trends; help execute local marketing, lead generation, and referrals.
Operations & Compliance
- Keep daily operations running cleanly and efficiently; own opening/closing, inventory, and equipment checks.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in fitness, hospitality, or retail.
- Proven track record in sales performance and team coordination; membership- or service-based environment strongly preferred.
Education
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's in management, business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
Skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; strong organization and time management.
- Proficiency with POS, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
Attributes
- Energetic, self-motivated, and coachable, with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Fitness-facility knowledge and Hyrox familiarity a plus.
Salary and Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $18 – $22, commensurate with experience.
- Performance Bonus: monthly club bonus potential based on sales and operational targets.

Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
